Winnie the Pooh is a bear from the Winnie the Pooh Books by A. A. Milne, but is most famous for his many cartoon adaptations by the Walt Disney Company, going back to 1966. He has many friends in the Hundred Acre Wood including Eeyore Gopher Tigger Piglet Owl Kanga Lumpy Roo Kessie and Christopher Robin
History
Homer is attacked by a bear at the Springfield Dump. The experience traumatizes him.
Later at his home, he imagines fictional bears, including Baloo Yogi Bear Fozzie Bear Rupert Pudsey Winnie the Pooh Smokey the Bear, Snuggle the Fabric-Softener Bear, two large bears wearing Chicago Bears uniforms. Gummi Bears, Teddy Grahams, and Paddington Bear, marching towards him.
Trivia
Winnie the Pooh was voiced by Sterling Holloway until his death on November 22 1992, then Hal Smith along with Owl until his death on January 28 1994, and now Jim Cummings voices Winnie the Pooh and Tigger as well.
Ironically, Winnie the Pooh's appearance in The Fat and the Furriest resembled that of Lotso from Toy Story 3, which was made seven years after the episode aired.
