Trainspotting (1996), British film by Danny Boyle, starring Ewan McGregor and Robert Carlyle, about some Scottish junkies who try to kick with their heroin addiction.

In the episode The Regina Monologues Bart and Lisa become addicted to English candy and start running around while Iggy Pop 's song "Lust for Life" plays in the background. This is a reference to the opening scene of the film. They even pass a similar building as in the film. The scene where Bart and Lisa lie on their back while Maggie Simpson crawls on the ceiling and twists her head around is a reference to the scene where Renton (Ewan McGregor) tries to overcome his addition and hallucinates.
