  • In "Little Big Mom", Homer, Bart, and Lisa trying to get their junk back from the Goodwill truck is similar to when Buzz Lightyear and Woody try to get to the moving truck.
  • In "The Italian Bob," Lisa mentions that Tim Allen voices Buzz Lightyear.
  • In "In the Name of the Grandfather," the judge looks a lot like Mr. Potato Head. Also, Homer says he admires Mr. Potato Head.
  • In "The Color Yellow," Ralph draws a picture featuring Elmo, Buzz Lightyear and himself with balloons, saying that dreams are where Elmo and "Toy Story" [sic] had a party.
  • In "Flaming Moe", Bart is seen hitting a Buzz Lightyear toy and saying "Come on, come to life! I swear I'll be nice to you!"
  • In "Angry Dad: The Movie," one of the nominees is Condiments, a parody of the film and is created by Mixar, which is a parody of Pixar. Also, Mr. Carrot Head is a parody of Mr. Potato Head. In that same scene, Randy Newman sings "You've Got an Enemy," a parody of "You've Got a Friend In Me."
  • In "A Midsummer's Nice Dream," a Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear (or Lotso) from Toy Story 3 is seen in Eleanor Abernathy's house and later in 742 Evergreen Terrace.
  • In "Replaceable You," Slinky Dog is seen on Bart's desk.
  • When Homer tries to make Stradivarius Cain re-appear in "The Spy Who Learned Me," one of the imaginary friends that appears is Mr. Potato Head.
  • In "Treehouse of Horror XXXI", the title of the first segment "Toy Gory" is a reference to the film as it is a clear parody of the film, with placing Bart in the role of the film's villain Sid Phillips with him abusing his old toys (one of them being a Mr. Potato Head), and having them stand up against him and murder him, similar to how Woody and Sid's toys also face off against Sid.
