References

  • Carl previously mentions his icelandic childhood in 'Scuse Me While I Miss the Sky.
  • In the final speech, Homer talks about a market crash that occurred in Iceland. Although the real bank of Iceland suffered a crash in real life, this is not the first time the Simpsons have touched on the topic: in The Bob Next Door, Homer's failed loan single-handedly causes the crash.
  • The Fjord Fjiesta that Homer, Lenny and Moe rented is a parody of the Ford Fiesta.
  • Carl's car in Iceland is similar to a Mercedes-Benz W108

Goofs

  • When Homer and Moe pull Lenny and Carl apart, Yukki's Grossfud is behind Homer. In the next scene, it is behind Moe, and therefore on the other side of the street.
  • In this episode Moe's eyes are joined together, but normally there is a small gap between them.
