The short begins with Bart, Lisa, and Maggie playing with their toys in the living room. Marge and Homer come in to the room with very sad news, Uncle Hubert passed away. The kids are wondering what passed away means. Bart explains 3 words to the family "The dude died" as they mourn. At the Funeral Home, the owner tells the family that now is the right time to go and say their goodbyes. The family is sad, but Bart has a big grin on his face because he can't wait to see a dead body. The family then looks at Uncle Hubert in the casket, then Bart faints at the sight of the body. When the members marched up a hill to the grave, Bart was complaining because the burial was taking to long. So he just quotes the guys holding the casket to the grave; however, Homer covers Bart's mouth at the right time. When the family is driving home, Marge tells the kids that they were naughty and she and Homer were disappointed in them. Homer scolds them by saying " This is absolutely the final funeral we ever take you kids to!" Lisa and Bart were enraged by the saying of this.
