The Flanders Press

The Flanders Press

The Flanders Press is a newspaper of Flanders family. It is only seen in one episode at the time of this being written.

The staff writers are Rod and Todd Flanders, however when Bart & Lisa Simpson have to stay at the Flanders' House as a Foster Home due to an incident in the Simpson Home, Bart uses it to print a paper of his own, reading "EXTRA! EXTRA! TODD SMELLS", However Rodd and Todd have doubts that Bart's sources on this are reliable and in the end it is not printed. A second appearance of the newspaper occurs as seen in the image depicted here, where a newspaper, presumably written by Bart & Lisa reads the same "TODD SMELLS" gag on the front, to which Homer replies with "Aww, I already knew that..". Marge suggests that Homer turn over the paper to where it reads (as seen in the image) "SIMPSONS KIDS MISS MOM & DAD", taking notice that Bart & Lisa do miss Marge & Homer.

The Flanders Press has only made one appearance in the show at the time of this being written and is yet to be seen again. However if another recent episode featuring the Flanders' Family is to be aired by the Show's Producers, this page should be updated to match.

The Flanders Press Newspapers are produced by a Newspaper Toy owned by the Flanders Family. It is unknown if it was bought by Ned and/or his Family, or if they crafted it themselves. Backstory about this item is yet to be explained by the show's producers & creators, if they even bother to mention episodes from decades ago. Likely it will remain a mystery, but there is no mystery about the fact that the Flanders' Press has some significance to the episode as it is the only way where Bart & Lisa can communicate with their Parents. (while being in the situation they were in at the time)
