The Closet is the twenty-third Simpsons short and originally aired on The Tracey Ullman Show on February 21, 1988.

Bart is watching TV, but then Homer starts to call his name. Bart realizes he has to do chores so he tries to hide in the toy box but Lisa is hiding in there. Then Bart hides in the closet but he realizes he can't get out. Bart sees Maggie and he tells Maggie to "do what I'd do if I were in your place" so Maggie goes to watch T.V. After a while, Bart breaks open the door and says he'll do chores. Then he finds a note saying his family went out for frosty chocolate milkshakes and Bart puts down the letter and goes back to hiding in the closet.
