Usage

type = the type of page to be used. Choices:

• Eps = Episodes (the "General" or "Summary" tab for the episode)
• App = Appearances
• Cre = Credits
• Gag = Gags
• Gal = Gallery
• Quo = Quotes
• Ref = References

The template will pick up the main page that it is used on (the "BASEPAGENAME" in the code). For example, if the template is placed on Pokey Mom/References, the Basepagename will be Pokey Mom.

In the examples below, the links will always show up as a dead link because the Basepagename is the template itself.

Notes

If the color that is shown inside the tab needs to be adjusted, you must use a color name instead of the hexadecimal color value. For example, color #8b0000 is Dark Red. "DarkRed" or "darkred" (without the space) must be used instead of #8b0000. The pound sign is interpreted as a numbered list item instead of a color command when it is passed into the Tab outline template.

Future updates

Due to the fixed width of the Wikia/Oasis skin, no more than seven tabs can be used. The "References/Trivia" title has been shortened to just "References" in order to make room for the additional tabs.

If tabs are to be removed, the width percentage in the Tab div 1 and Tab div 2 templates should be set as follows:       5 tabs = 19.6%   6 tabs = 16.4%   7 tabs = 14%

When the additional tabs are added to this template, update the usage instructions above and these templates with the new information:

• Template:Switch E1 -- the sub-page selector
• Template:Switch E2 -- the header
• Template:Switch E3 -- the category

Note: Wikia transitioned back to a variable-width format in December 2013, but there is a minimum size that can be viewed on iPads and other tablet/mobile devices, so no more than seven tabs should be used.
