The Talking Tree is a tree that talks and appears as Bart and Lisa's treehouse in 2041.
History
He follows the commands of Bart, and is able to animate and talk, providing a 'step' to the ground. He mentions that his kind being able to talk was kept secret for thousands of years, only spoiled when one sap opened his mouth. It is implied he follows the orders of Bart so he will not be chopped down, and that trees have always been able to talk. [1]
Cultural References
The Talking Tree is a parody of the creatures from the popular novel series Lord of the Rings. The species were also shown in the film adaption. Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
