what weather is like where your at[]

This article is locked, and I'm new arround here...but I made an account purely to try and revise this article a bit for readability, and to correct some of mistakes I have noticed:

Like Bart, he is almost always made leader in whatever bizarre situation he comes across, although, unlike Bart, that leadership isn't always appreciated, such as when Homer becomes the leader of the Stoneutters, which shortly afterwards causes all the members to quit.

Mainly, I intened to change the biography section, which is currently a large wall of text, and easy to get lost in.

Four days after your account was created, you will no longer be considered a new user and will be able to edit it then. If you want to get a head start on it, click on "View Source", then make a copy of the code. You can then paste it into a sandbox area (such as User:Superalamar/Homer sandbox or whatever you want to call it). You can work on it as much as you need to there first. —RRabbit42 (leave a message) 03:25, December 21, 2011 (UTC)

Homer's age[]

On Homer's page why does it say for his age 36,38,39? HARRYrobson 09:02, April 30, 2012 (UTC)

He is 36 years old as per the Simpsons World episode guide, but a couple of episodes have given different ages. See the FAQ for an explanation of why more than one age is listed. —RRabbit42 (leave a message) 14:30, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
Honestly, I came here to make a remark about this as well. We are at season 25 now. From season 1 to (at least) 15, we were told Homer met Marge in Highschool, they got together after the prom and not long after that, Marge was pregnant and they got married. This means that Homer can only be around 30 though. If Bart is 10, and they got married while she was pregnant with him, then Homer graduated Highschool at the most, 13 years before. The earlier episodes even indicate they got married within a year of that Prom. Meaning, Homer should be 29, not 39. Since he fathered Bart at 19. 87.64.133.173 16:50, April 9, 2014 (UTC)

Conneticut[]

Even though I don't edit here, I was watching Revenge is a dish best served three times, and at the end, or so about of the episode, the Texas Man says, we have things in common, for example, we are both from Conneticut. If I heard it wrong, I'm sorry, but I just want to let you know.   Yugimuto1    Talk   [[Special:Editcount/ Yugimuto1|Special:Editcount/ Yugimuto1 edits ]]  12:15,3/30/2013

Where the main "Springfield" is is contradicted in most sources. The Simpsons Movie jokes that Springfield border all of the states with Springfield. OS25 (talk to me, baby.) 20:41, April 10, 2013 (UTC)

Homer and Bart are my favorite characters in the Simpsons show. Here is a very interesting quiz about it The Simpsons quiz

In the episode about Edison (The Wizard of Evergreen Terrace) you can make a guess as to the rough area of Springfield. The road sign indicates they have to travel in the same direction to reach New Jersey and Texas. This leads me to believe they're not in the heartlands but somewhere north of new jersey. 87.64.133.173 16:53, April 9, 2014 (UTC)

What color are Homer's eyes?[]

We find out in an episode that Marge's eyes are hazel, meaning that all the characters actually do have eye colors even though we can't see them. Has the show ever said what color Homer's eyes are?--File:Reversalmushroom sig.png 07:43, March 27, 2015 (UTC)

Years & decades.[]

The article for 'Homer Simpson' makes numerous references to specific years. This is somewhat innapropriate for a show that uses a floating timeline like The Simpsons does (for example, flashback episodes from the 1990s that are set in the 1980s show that Homer & Marge are married with children by that time, whereas flashbacks from later episodes show the couple to be unmarried & childless during the 1990s). The article for 'Marge Simpson' keeps the 'Biography' section largely free of any references to specific years. I propose that most/all references to years in this article be changed to the age that Homer was at the time (for example, the events of 'That '90s Show' happened when Homer was in his early-20s). Unless I receive any major objection to this, I will amend the page as such. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Penrith (talkcontribs) 21:13, 28 August 2017

I think it is appropriate to mention the year if the show does, regardless of how nonsensical it seems w/ the floating timeline. Please do not remove any canonical information. The show is fine with poking fun at itself. In today's Hostile Kirk Place for example Homer remarks "nineteen eighty-six, I was two years old then, or was I thirty?" The idea being someone 2 in 1986 would be 39 years old today (37 years later) yet Homer was likely meant to be around 33 by the start of season 1. Tycio (talk) 00:16, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
Specifically, Marge turns 34 in "Life on the Fast Lane", and in the season 3 flashback in "I Married Marge", Homer recalls being 24 in 1980 (both of which would mean they were 30 in 1986 pre floating timeline). -- Tybort (talk page) 11:23, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
