Tahiti is an island in the South Pacific where Cyrus Simpson crash landed during World War II. He retired here with his 15 wives and Santa Claus took Abraham Simpson to visit him on the island. It is the most populous island of French Polynesia. The capital of French Polynesia, Papeete, is in Tahiti. The locals speak either French or Tahitian (Reo Tahiti).

The national football team were runners-up in the first 3 OFC Nations Cups, 1973, 1980 and 1996. Their first ever FIFA tournament was the 2009 U-20 World Cup in Egypt. They lost all 3 games.
