Squiggy was one of the main characters in the sitcom "Laverne & Shirley". He appeared on a reality TV show with the Simpsons. He entered the house to help increase ratings, but fails to do so. He was apparently "killed", when the house was destroyed after falling down a waterfall.

Squiggy was voiced by David Lander, who played him on Laverne & Shirley. Before playing Squiggy, Lander appeared on a 1975 episode of Rhoda, a James L. Brooks produced show which starred Marge voice Julie Kavner as the title character's younger sister Brenda Morgenstern. Ironically, Marge would answer the door when Squiggy joined the household and would later declare Squiggy to be among the things in the house which were "ruined" after the waterfall incident. On 12/4/2020, David Lander passed away due to complications with multiple sclerosis.
"Squiggy" being sent to boost The 1895 Challenge ratings is another reference to The Cosby Show, whom sent "Smitty" (Adam Sandler) to the Cosby's house.
