Springfield University is a large and prestigious college located in Springfield.
History[]
Springfield University was founded in 1952 and lacks a Latin motto.[1] Sadgasm's first concert was at Springfield University.[2]
School Features[]
An immense variety of different courses are offered, including nuclear physics, arts management and analysis of animation. Montgomery Burns has a chair in the school board.[1] According to one of the students, the class Passive Analysis of Visual Iconography, located at Anthro 101, was attended by everyone due to it exclusively showing Itchy & Scratchy cartoons.[3]
The school's nickname is the "Nittany Tide," a play on two college mascots, the Penn State Nittany Lions, and the University of Alabama Crimson Tide.
