The Springfield Dam is a hydroelectric dam in Springfield. Cecil Terwilliger was in charge of its construction. However, he stole the money for the cement and planned to blow it up, with Sideshow Bob, Bart and Lisa inside. He was arrested, but the dam was too weak so it was later destroyed. However, the giant water wave did not cause any damage.

In "The Simpsons: Hit and Run" and "The Simpsons Road Rage", the dam is under construction and there is an incomplete bridge next to it. (The Dam was revealed to have been re-built in 'Road Rages instuction books).
Trivia
- While construction on the dam supposidly started in Brother from Another Series in Season 8, it was seen twice before in Season 7 in the episodes Lisa the Vegetarian and Mother Simpson.
