Spanish Flea is a song written by Julius Wechter in 1965 with lyrics by Cissy Wechter. Its most popular incarnation is an instrumental version by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass, which is featured prominently in only four episodes. The song does not appear in the closing credits.

It was first featured in the episode, "The Otto Show", when it was playing on the car radio with Homer singing along to it as he waited in the parking lot, not noticing the SWAT teams entering.

Its second appearance was in the episode, "Team Homer", when it was featured as runway music while Martin Prince and Lisa model the school uniforms that was played on a record player by Seymour Skinner.

Its third appearance was in the episode, "Natural Born Kissers", when it was playing on the car radio that Homer and Marge were listening to.

Its last appearance was in the episode, "Sunday, Cruddy Sunday", when it was playing inside the waiting room at the auto repair shop where Homer meets Wally Kogen.
