Robert McKee (born 1941) is a creative writing instructor who is widely known for his popular "Story Seminar", which he developed when he was a professor at the University of Southern California. McKee is the author of a "screenwriters' bible" called Story: Substance, Structure, Style and the Principles of Screenwriting.

Outside "The Simpsons", he has starred as himself in the following documentaries: "Without Walls", "The 100 Greatest Films", "Greatest Ever Romantic Movies", "Imagine, Made in Hollywood", and "Hellbound?". He also starred as himself in the 1998 mockumentary film, "20 Dates".

McKee's former students include over 60 Academy Award Winners, 200 Academy Award Nominees, 200 Emmy Award Winners, 1000 Emmy Award Nominees, 100 WGA (Writers Guild of America) Award Winners, 250 WGA Award Nominees, 50 DGA (Directors Guild of America) Award Winners, and 100 DGA Award Nominees.

On "The Simpsons", he guest voiced as himself in "The Caper Chase".
