It's unknown if the car is a Trans Am spec Firebird or a regular one.

For legal reasons, in The Simpsons: Hit & Run^[1], Apu's car is known as the Longhorn, and instead of red, its color was orange. The car was known as Sports Car in The Simpsons Road Rage and kept the color red.
