Pépé Bouvier, occasionally referred to as Great-Grampa Bouvier, was the paternal grandfather of Marge Simpson and maternal great grandfather of Bart and Lisa and Maggie Simpson and Ling.

He shipped out with the Merchant Marines. His wife once told Marge the song "Brandy" was based on his life. Selma Bouvier sung "Brandy" as a lullaby to Lisa Simpson.[1]
