Neil Patrick Harris is an American actor, most famous for his role as Barney Stinson of How I Met Your Mother. He appears as a guest voice in The Simpsons.
Biography

Harris was born in New Mexico to a pair of restaurant owners. He became a child actor, then proceeded to work in Broadway. In 1991, he voiced Bart Simpson on The Simpsons. He then went on Guest Star in Family Guy, Glee, Sesame Street and The Penguins of Madagascar as well as many others.He was a character on Stark Raving Mad, and is a regular character on How I Met Your Mother, where he plays Barney Stinson, a womanizing businessman.
Personal lifeEdit
Harris is in a civil partnership with his life partner David Burkta, and has two children, Gideon Scott, male, and Harper Grace, female. Harris is openly gay, and as Same-Sex Marriage is legal in New York as of 2011, he has stated intentions to marry Burkta.
