  • This is the second episode of The Simpsons to premiere overseas first before premiering in America. The first was In the Name of the Grandfather, which premiered overseas five days before the US premiere of the episode, while Looking for Mr. Goodbart is scheduled to premiere on April 23 overseas, which is a week before the US premiere of the episode on April 30. Also, this is the first episode to premiere overseas first before the US premiere in eight years.
  • This is the second time that the Gracie Films logo has a visual variant. The first was Last Tap Dance in Springfield.
  • The Tracey Ullman Show short, Good Night, was shown before the couch gag to celebrate 30 years of the Simpsons' televised debut, but it only has the scene where Marge sings "Rock-a-bye baby" to Maggie.
  • The title screen gag has the words "30 YEARS AGO..." at the bottom, which is a reference to the Simpsons turning 30 years old on television eleven days prior to this episode's original airing.
  • The text message Chalmers sends to Skinner during the Grandpa, Grandma song is a reference to Chalmers' catchphrase, "SKINNERRRRR!", with "SKIN" in the first text bubble and "NER!" in the second text bubble (which is obviously correct because Chalmers always says the first part of Skinner's name before he says the second part whenever he yells the name).
  • It is revealed that Comic Book Guy is celebrating his third wedding anniversary with Kumiko.
