The Krusty Komedy Klassic is one of Krusty's many parody shows, aside from Krusty Khinda Khristmas.

Plot

The show opens on the title in front of the stage curtains. Krusty walks in as the curtains open, saying that it's "great to be back at the Apollo Theater", and notices the initials for the show (which were similar to the initials of the Ku Klux Klan), and agrees "that's not good," with the audience expressing agreement by booing him and throwing objects at him. There was also an act where he was to have a dog bite a rubber red ball, although the dog instead found biting his nose more interesting, causing Krusty, in pain, shouting for someone to shoot the dog. He also does a failed comedy routine called "Mad About Shoe." Upon learning of its failure, he warned the audience that they won't like the "NYPD Shoe" comedy routine, as it was the same overall. He also brought up Gerald Ford, although he spent most of his time trying to do a boring scene while making faces behind Ford's back while the latter was speaking.

Behind the laughter

  • The "Mad About Shoe" sketch is a parody of the real life TV show Mad About You. In addition, he warned the audience about "NYPD Shoe", which is a reference to the TV show NYPD Blue.
  • The title is a reference to Carson's Comedy Classics, one of the many connections between Krusty and Johnny Carson.
