James Brown (May 3, 1933 – December 25, 2006) was an American soul singer, songwriter, musician, and recording artist. Brown has been known as "The Godfather of Soul," "The Hardest-Working Man in Show Business," and "Mr. Dynamite." He appeared as himself in the episode "Bart's Inner Child" and sang his hit song "I Got You (I Feel Good)." The singing is soon stopped because his band's stage collapses. This is because it wasn't 'double bolted.' Brown is considered one of the most popular and influential singers of the 20th Century after a 50 year career.
