Homer Simpson

Gone Fishin' is the twentieth Simpsons short and originally aired on The Tracey Ullman Show on January 24, 1988.

Plot Edit

Bart and Homer go on a fishing trip and Bart is carrying the boat that he can't see out of. When he goes to put the boat in the lake he collapses under the weight of the boat and falls in the water. Bart gets in the boat and starts floating away without the paddle. Homer swims over and gets on the boat and once he gets in he isn't very happy. Then, Homer asks Bart for a baloney sandwich, but Bart forgot the baloney. He puts the bait (worms) on the sandwich instead. Strangely, Homer likes the worm sandwich. Later on, they hit rapids and Homer is almost knocked unconscious. Bart enjoys the rapids but Homer didn't at all. To calm his nerves, Homer tells Bart to sing Row Row Row Your Boat. Then they fall down a waterfall and when they get to the bottom Bart finishes the song with "life is but a dream".
