Godzilla (1954) is a Japanese monster movie, directed by Ishiro Honda, starring the giant monster Godzilla. This movie spawned 28 including a flopped American remake in 1998 and an American reboot in 2014 with a sequel coming in 2018 along with two cartoon series, and an upcoming film made by Toho in 2016.
Matt Groening is a fan of the original Japanese film series.

- In the 1998 American Movie Remake Godzilla, several Simpsons voice actors such as Nancy Cartwright (as a news worker), Hank Azaria (as Victor "Animal" Pilotti), and Harry Shearer (as Charles Caiman) appeared in the movie.
- Bryan Cranston who starred in the 2014 American Godzilla movie, guest starred in the episode 'The Spy Who Learned Me'.
