Thomas Jeffrey "Tom" Hanks (born July 9, 1956) is an American actor and filmmaker, born in California. He voiced himself in The Simpsons Movie.
He is best known for his roles in Forrest Gump, The Green Mile (film), The Da Vinci Code, Sleepless in Seattle, Splash, Big, Apollo 13 and Saving Private Ryan. Hanks is also known as the voice of Woody in the Toy Story franchise and the Conductor in The Polar Express. Whenever Hanks is unavailable to voice the character, his younger brother Jim Hanks fills in for him. He's one of the top actors in the world.
