This article is about the guest star. For the character, see Luke Perry (character).

Coy Luther "Luke" Perry III (October 11, 1966 – March 4, 2019) was an American actor. He voiced himself in the season 4 episode "Krusty Gets Kancelled". He previously played as Dylan McKay on Beverly Hills, 90210, and played as Archie's dad Fred Andrews on Riverdale. He died on March 4, 2019, due to complications from a stroke at the age of 52.

Character[]

Luke Perry played Krusty the Clown's maternal half-brother as himself. He was one of Krusty's sideshows. On the Krusty Comeback Special, he is shot out of a cannon through several different buildings, including a sandpaper factory, and eventually a pillow factory, which is subsequently blown up by a demolition team. Despite this, however, he survived and participated in the celebration party at Moe's Tavern, at one point even stealing the spotlight from Krusty.

Perry was also seen sitting beside the other sideshows at Krusty's funeral in "Bart the Fink."

Oddly, the Latin-American Spanish-language version of "Krusty Gets Kancelled" calls Perry "Robert Redford" despite the immense popularity of his show Beverly Hills 90210 in Latin America at the time.

In "Marge vs. the Monorail", "Springfield Heights, 90210" actor Kyle Darren appears to be based on Luke Perry.
