Jeopardy! is a quiz show seen in the episode "Miracle on Evergreen Terrace". Marge appeared as a contestant on it to earn money, but sadly she wasn't very good despite passing the audition and was forced to pay Alex his compensation. It was hosted by Alex Trebek. Jeopardy! is based on a real game show of the same name. The primetime version was hosted by Mayim Bialik for a time (before she stepped down due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes and dislike by the fans) while the syndicated version is currently hosted by Ken Jennings.
Dan Castellaneta was once a special guest voice on the real game show on January 18, 1999; one of the categories was "Readings from Homer", as in the author of Greek literature, but all five clues were read by Homer Simpson.
