Harry Potter is a media franchise, originally a book series written by British author J. K. Rowling, which spawned a subsequent film series by Warner Bros., about a young boy who discovers he is a wizard and goes to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It has been referenced in many ways in The Simpsons.

Harry is also a character in the segment, appearing as one of the students in Mrs. Krabappel's classroom in the school Springwarts School of Magicry, a parody of Hogwarts. Lord Montymort and Slithers are parodies of Lord Voldemort and Nagini, respectively.

Bart and Milhouse 16 344 February 13, 2005 "Pranksta Rap" After Bart accidentally causes Kirk to be thrown in jail, Bart tells Milhouse that if he told anyone the truth, he would tell the world about how Milhouse wet his pants watching Harry Potter. Milhouse responds by saying that he wasn't scared, he was just peeing.

  • Patty says "I'm in" in Parseltongue.
  • Comic Book Guy is seen dressed up as a Rubeus Hagrid-type character again.
  • The story they came up with about an orphan who went to a magical school is a reference to Harry Potter.
  • The series' author T. R. Francis is seen again, a parody of J. K. Rowling.
