Bart's Hiccups

This one's going to be the Simpsons at our finest.
Homer to the family.

Family Portrait is the twenty-fifth Simpsons short and originally aired on The Tracey Ullman Show March 6, 1988. This was also used as a Couch Gag in the episode "You Kent Always Say What You Want" in Season 18. In Treehouse of Horror XXV, The Others segment ends with Homer unsuccessfully trying to photograph a good portrait of the two families together. It is also the first time "Why you little!" is heard.

Synopsis

Homer calls the family to gather around for a portrait. They do not listen and resume their daily routines. Homer calls them up again but they still do not listen. The family finally gathers around when he shouts for them to make a portrait. Homer sets the camera for the automatic timer. However, he arrives in the shot to late and ends up blocking Marge and having Bart and Maggie out of the shot. The next shot, Bart and Lisa are already bored and want Homer to be a lot quicker so that they could resume their daily routines. He wants the family to be closer so everyone can get in the picture although they become too close eventually and everyone looks really weird smooshed together. In the final shot, Bart makes faces to get Homer annoyed. Then everyone is smiling, however Bart keeps making faces which messes up the final shot as an annoyed Homer strangles him while Maggie and Lisa make faces and Marge falls asleep.
