Diz-Nee Land is a popular amusement park in Springfield. Though not affiliated with Disneyland, Disney World, or any other enterprise of The Walt Disney Company, Diz-Nee does have many rides and attractions for the whole family. However, the park is filled with creepy, disturbingly derivative costumed characters such as Mitchy Mouse, Danny Duck, and Goophee the Mandog, as well as several lawyers patrolling the area. It also has extremely questionable business practices (such as killing guests who overstay their welcome in the Cool Zone by melting them with acid spray, then reselling their hats), and constantly orders visitors to spend money, lampooning Eisner-era business practices at actual Disney parks. It also seemingly allowed aliens to abduct park guests through a fake ride.

Trivia[]

  • Diz-Nee Land is an obvious parody of Disneyland, an Anaheim, California theme park built under the supervision of Walt Disney and opened on July 17, 1955. On October 1, 1971, the Walt Disney World Resort opened in Orlando, Florida. Though Walt himself had begun the project, he died shortly into its first phase. His brother and business partner, Roy O. Disney, postponed his own retirement to see the project through the completion of the first phase.
  • It was named after Walt Disney who was an animator, director, screenwriter, voice actor and business magnate.
