Cultural referencesEdit

  • When Bart is organizing his little black ebook Eve from Wall-e is seen.
  • Cretaceous Park is a reference to Jurassic Park and the fact that many of the dinosaurs from the movie were from the Cretaceous time period.
  • Gort appears as a waiter at the Gilded Truffle.
  • Homer's robotic body at the end of the episode is a reference to C-3PO.
  • Maggie's husband which was not seen in Holidays of Future Passed is finally revealed. It was Gerald Samson.
  • The title is a parody of Days of Future Past
  • The game-over theme on the Goody Gobble game is the same game-over theme as the arcade game Donkey Kong.
  • The exterior shot of the Simpson house is possibly a reference to The Matrix.
  • Jenda's new boyfriend Jerry is shown to be an alien from the Alien franchise.
  • The scene in which is gaining closure from his divorce is a reference to Total Recall.
  • The song played during the montage of Bart's new girlfriends is 'Girls' by The Beastie Boys from their debut album Licensed To Ill.
  • Bart's alien girlfriend has the same voice as Kang & Kodos' daughter in Treehouse of Horror XXII
  • The clown Insane Clown Polly is a parody of hip-hop duo Insane Clown Posse.
  • When Jimbo, Dolph and Kearney try to rob Milhouse and Lisa, Jimbo pulls out a mini Lightsaber.
  • When Bart's sons set Homer's robot body on fire, he starts to behave like and resemble a Terminator
  • Jim-Jam from Cosmic Wars, a parody of Jar-Jar Binks from Star Wars, appears on the front of a cereal box.
  • Queen Amidala from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, appears as one of Bart's ex-girlfriends on the computer screen.
  • Frink's quote that he wanted to clone sheep is a reference to Dolly the cloned sheep. 
  • Bart's profile number is SABF13, the production number of this episode. 

Goofs Edit

  • Marge mentions that she and Homer are married for 35 years, but with the episode set 30 years in the future, they shoud've been married for, at least, 40 years. Although they could've been separated for five years in the past.
  • In the first Homer Funeral, Jessica Lovejoy's hair is miscolored blonde.
