Catfish Lake is a small town in Springfield's state. The area around the lake is very rural. The Lovejoys own a house by the lake that is seldom used, except for an annual Church marriage retreat that goes for one week. Catfish lake is, however, popular with fishermen hoping to catch a legendary catfish named General Sherman that suffers from gigantism.

HistoryEdit

Homer and Marge visit the area for marriage counselling at Reverend Timothy Lovejoy's house. However, Homer and Marge struggle with the treatment, and Homer plans to go fishing, but ultimately decides not to. However, he is accidentally drawn into a boat and ends up catching General Sherman. ^[1]
