"Burning Love" is an episode of The Itchy & Scratchy Show.

Plot[]

It's a gorgeous day and Scratchy is outside relaxing in his hammock. Itchy shoots a flaming arrow which hits Scratchy in the butt, setting him on fire. Scratchy jumps out of the hammock and runs around screaming as the flames spread to cover more and more of him.

At that point, Marge comes in and makes a comment about not understanding the appeal of violence in cartoons. The TV is no longer visible, but the sounds from the cartoon continue as Marge talks to Bart and Lisa.

Trivia[]

  • This is the first Itchy & Scratchy cartoon to feature a title card.
  • At the mall in "When Flanders Failed", a scene of this episode was used and it also featured end credits.
  • In the beginning of "Blame it on Lisa", the title card from this episode was used before "Par for the Corpse" is shown.

Goofs[]

  • In the title, Scratchy's tongue and teeth are not included.
