• Bart wears his normal clothing for the first time in this episode. Maggie's clothes are white and she has a green bow.
• Ironically, this short which featured Marge asking Bart and Lisa to babysit Maggie aired three weeks before Adventures In Babysitting was released in theaters.
• The first scene has Maggie sticking a fork in an electrical socket. This part of the short did not appear in syndication. Maybe because it taught children to play with sockets.
• This is the first time where Maggie's name is revealed and the first short centered on her.
• This is the first short where Homer is completely absent in the short nor is he mentioned.
• This is the first time Maggie is shown crying.
• This is the first short where all the cast is entirely by women.
• Bart was the only boy to appear in this short.
