Homer was reading this book to Lisa as a bedtime story while he and Marge were shouting at each other through the common wall. He told the story of how Cincinnati Reds legend Pete Rose collided into the Cleveland Indians' Ray Fosse in the 1970 All-Star game, separating the latter's shoulder.
